Graceful, wise, steady.
Nawab may have been the pampered one in the litter but it's been a long time since then. He comes from a time of rich histories and long stories. He's one of those out there who would rather that time stood still, for it has passed him by.

First in a series of three, he is a culmination of a 3 month exploration into brass casting. I've always been fascinated by materials but to work in brass has been a fantasy. The entire process mined me for every bit of patience and care I had to give, for it is a demanding medium. Gaining an understanding of sculptural metalwork, all the way from sculpting in wax, to moldmaking, cleaning the sculptures, and even crafting patinas has been a truly eye-opening experience.
It is a gate way to so much more and an absolutely invaluable experience. I hope to see my future bring me back to it as much as it can.
